About us

Eisen was founded in 2022 with a simple but powerful mission: to protect everyday consumers. Our name draws inspiration from President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the ambitious Interstate Highway System he championed in the 1950s. Despite facing significant opposition and costing billions to build, that infrastructure project has added trillions to the U.S. economy and affected the daily lives of millions of Americans. Like that system, we believe in building essential, complex, and often unglamourous infrastructure that quietly impacts millions of people every day.

Our journey into escheatment began during a conversation among friends at a holiday bar, where the idea of helping people reclaim unclaimed money from the state sparked something bigger. We were inspired by stories like Walter Schramm’s, whose long-forgotten bet on Amazon stock in the 1990s turned into an escheatment nightmare. We realized the opportunity was not just in returning money from the state, but in helping companies proactively identify unclaimed property before it was escheated in the first place. By helping companies get proactive, and engaging customers before their accounts become escheated, we could help companies retain customers and reunite millions of Americans with their funds, while ensuring companies stay compliant with state laws.

Since then, Eisen has partnered with organizations across various industries—banks, brokerages, digital asset exchanges, and more—to manage unclaimed property and automate escheatment compliance. We build products that help companies of all types and sizes proactively manage compliance, creating a new category of Compliance Operations Infrastructure, that ultimately help reunite customers with their money.
